AA Restaurant Guide
"It's well worth a trip into the Carmarthenshire countryside to find this welcoming inn, with its big comfy sofas and an interesting mixture of modern and antique furniture. People come for the pleasant surroundings and friendly service, but above all for the carefully prepared food made from quality produce. Contemporary dishes with classical influences are offered from lunchtime blackboard specials and a regularly changing carte. Recommendations are the Angel Inn hors d'oeuvre plate to start, a main course of home-smoked Gressingham duckling, charlotte of apple and duck leg, parsnip puree and juniper jus, and a dessert of apricot and brioche butter pudding with schnapps anglaise. Everything is home-made including the excellent breads." |
